He professes that we have the power of choice- be angry of what we don’t have or be thankful for what we have. Very interesting talk.

He gives many stories and explains most organizations know what they do (what they produce or service), how they do (differentiate, have value proposition) but very few and great ones know why they do it (purpose or change they want to bring about).
Shawn Achor- The Happiness Advantage
This is a humorous talk where Shawn talks about the importance of positive psychology. It’s not the reality that shapes us but the need to change the lens through which the brain views the world shapes the reality. Since childhood we are told if you work hard you will find success and then you will be happy. It does not work in reality because you end up setting new goals and competing with others at that next level. He talks about reversing the order- be happy feel great, work hard that leads to big success.
Neil Pasricha-The 3 As of Awesome
Neil Pasricha started an award winning blog- 1000 awesome things in 2009 writing about everyday things that that make us happy but we don’t talk about it for example a new counter line opening up in grocery store, hitting 7 straight green lights on your way to work or wearing warm underwear straight out the dryer. He talks about 3 As of Awesome- Attitude- choosing to move forward and move on taking baby steps to the future, Awareness – embracing your inner 3 year old and Authenticity- following your heart and being yourself.
